Three engineers.
Sixty-plus combined years of experience across the three of us, all of it inside enterprise systems.
// what we've actually delivered
What we've actually delivered.
Core banking on three continents.
Implementations across Europe, Africa, and Latin America. Different regulators, different infrastructure realities, different definitions of "production-grade." We've seen what generalises and what doesn't.
Five live MBA / EBA modernization programs.
Wrapping legacy cores in microservice layers. Two more in flight. The pattern is repeatable. The trade-offs aren't.
Years of post-go-live ownership.
Incident response, regulatory audit prep, version migrations on platforms processing real money. This is the fire that produced our point of view on AI in regulated software.
// how we work
No theatre.
Purple Zebra is a small senior engineering team building and applying AI-assisted software delivery in real projects — not demos, workshops, or slide decks.
We use AI where it gives leverage: code generation, backlog analysis, PR review, test creation, documentation recovery, semantic search, and legacy system understanding. But we do not outsource engineering judgement to a model. Architecture, review, production risk, and final delivery responsibility stay with experienced engineers.
We are not an AI consultancy in the usual sense — we do not come in to "introduce AI" and leave behind a deck. We build the operating model, use it ourselves, and turn it into repeatable engineering practice.
That's the thinking behind our methodology and the Ignix67 platform.
// the team
Why this team is different.
We build with AI every day.
AI is not a topic we discovered for the market cycle. It is already part of how we design, implement, review, test, and document software. That gives us a practical view of where AI is useful, where it fails, and where deterministic engineering controls must take over.
We know what production risk means.
Our background is in systems where "almost correct" is not good enough — banking, payments, healthcare, regulated environments. We've sat with the consequences of production systems, which is what shapes how we think about traceability, parity, release confidence, and clear ownership.
We stay close to the work.
Purple Zebra is intentionally small. We are not a layered agency where senior people sell the project and junior people discover the system later. The same people who define the approach stay close to architecture, code, review, testing, and delivery decisions.
// scale
Small by design.
We are not trying to become a large outsourcing shop. Purple Zebra exists for work where a small number of strong engineers can create disproportionate leverage: modernization, AI-SDLC adoption, engineering automation, and delivery systems for teams that cannot afford uncontrolled experiments.
If a problem needs a hundred developers, we are not the vendor. If a problem needs a senior team that can understand the system, shape the method, build the tooling, and prove the delivery loop works — that is where we fit.
// no names
Most of our work sits under client NDAs, so the public page stays intentionally lightweight. On an intro call, we can share named profiles, relevant delivery history, and referenceable experience where permitted.
If you'd like to know who you're working with, we'll tell you on a call.
